Mornings – panel sessions
From Tuesday to Friday, between breakfast and lunch, the panel sessions ran in parallel for the presentation and discussion of the accepted peer-reviewed papers and extended abstracts accepted for oral presentation.
Afternoons – a less formal approach
The period after lunch each day was reserved for informal sessions in which any participant could set up a discussion on a current energy efficiency issue.
In parallel with the informal sessions, partners arranged solutions workshops.
Display (poster) session
The display (poster) session took place in the afternoon of 11 June. Authors displayed their posters or other displays and were available to answer questions and comments. Refreshments were served during the session and it was very lively session, always highly rated by participants in the post-conference evaluation. The best diplays by popular vote and a jury decision were rewarded.
Evenings – plenary sessions
Plenary sessions were held in the early evenings.
The constant networking and discussions
Day and night: hundreds of people were eager to discuss energy efficiency.
The grand finale
The tradition on Friday is to conclude with a conference summary and final debate followed by a special dinner banquet. In the evening there was a farewell party. Participants took off after breaksfast on Saturday.
Informal sessions – a favourite among participants
A good informal have an introduction presentation of a problem, idea, concept, etc., to be followed by an informed and creative discussion. Participants on-site could sign up to arrange an informal, which any conference participant could join.
